Assembly Programs

Our assembly programs are especially designed to introduce all audiences to the fascinating world of Afro-Peruvian music in a fun and interactive way. Attendees will be able, not only to listen to Afro-Peruvian music but to learn the fascinating histories behind each song, each dance and each musical instrument! During the program, audience members will join the band on stage to play some typical percussion instruments like the quijada (donkey jaw bone) and cajita (little box), sing catchy refrains of popular Afro-Peruvian songs and follow contagious dance steps of uplifting styles like the festejo!

Hector has found a perfect methodological language where any musician in the world can learn Afro-Peruvian rhythms.”
